Club equipment is to be signed out in the Computer Log Book and returned to its rack in the same condition as it was found: boats and oars wiped carefully, oarlocks closed and turned inward, vents open, towels returned to their rack. Dead light batteries, torn grips, and similar maintenance issues shall be noted in the Log Book. If a boat is damaged, the crew must note it in the Log, place an “out of service” tag on the hull, and notify the Coxswain immediately.
Guest and Sponsor Responsibilities
Guests must be accompanied and admitted to the boathouse by their hosts. Guests may row up to 100 miles per year out of UBC. University Barge Club reserves the right to deny access to any guest.
Intoxicating Beverages: Consumption of alcoholic beverages on UBC premises by anyone under the age of twenty-one (21) is prohibited.
UBC members are welcome to use the kitchen as their own, and are expected to completely clean all of the items and areas they have used, observing City trash and recycling regulations.
Loss of Property
Although UBC does provide lockers for the belongings of members and guests, the Club cannot be responsible for any loss of, or damage to, such property.
Well-behaved or leashed pets are welcome at the boathouse.
Smoking is not permitted on the premises of the boathouse.
A Club member sponsor is required for all private functions. Members sponsoring private functions are responsible for the deportment of their guests as well as all charges incurred by them, including cost of any damage to the boathouse, premises, or contents. Guests invited to a private function are discouraged from entering the locker rooms, boat bays, and gym.
